Match Plan assisted the acquisition of LEQUAL.
Match Plan has assisted with the acquisition of digital marketing agency LEQUAL. LEQUAL is a professional digital marketing agency, based in Amsterdam. With a team of enthusiastic specialists they support companies in maximizing the return of the online marketing campaigns. With the takeover, LEQUAL has become part of Happy Horizon.

LEQUAL was founded in 2016 by entrepreneur Rick Burgers. The Amsterdam based digital marketing agency serves its customers by generating revenue via the internet. As an agency group, Happy Horizon offers a wide range of online and offline specialisms for a very diverse customer portfolio. The targeted purchase of LEQUAL is part of the growth strategy of the organization. As a result of this takeover, Happy Horizon grows to 12 companies spread over offices in Amsterdam, Apeldoorn, Eindhoven, Nistelrode and Berlin (Germany). The group employs a total of about 220 employees.

Reason for acquistion
Rick Burgers will remain active as director at LEQUAL. Thanks to this purchase, Happy Horizon will gain a foothold in the Dutch capital. Walter van de Wege (CEO of Happy Horizon) states in the press release: “With the acquisition of LEQUAL, we add a number of great clients as well as a team of young talents to our group. In addition, we were looking for an Amsterdam base to optimally serve our growing group of customers in that region”.

In addition to advising on setting up the current shareholder structure of Happy Horizon in 2016, this was the seventh acquisition where Match Plan assisted Happy Horizon. LEQUAL was assisted by a consultant and engaged Michiel Dullaert from Financieel Bedrijfsmanagement B.V (FBM). The team of Match Plan advisors consisted of Hans van de Pas and Reg Schreurs. They were, among other things, active in correctly drafting the Letter Of Intent (LOI), the negotiation discussions and the successful closing of the deal.
