Alphatrans

Alphatrans is a company that develops logistics processes for various types of special cargo. It develops customized solutions for loads of exceptional size, length or weight. In 1994 the company started with only a few vehicles, but has since grown into an international company with approximately 200 employees and a fleet of 720 trailers and 125 trucks. Alphatrans has therefore been able to expand its services at an international level with offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Hungary, Romania and Portugal. Alphatrans generated a turnover of € 45 million in 2017 with a net return of € 2.1 million.

DFDS Group is originally a Danish company that focuses on shipping and logistics. DFDS Group is an important player in the international transport of both people and goods. The company has the ambition to grow through acquisitions, among other things. The acquisition of all shares in Alphatrans contributes to this ambition because of the good customer base that Alphatrans has built up over the past decades. In addition, Alphatrans’ good reputation contributes to the service that DFDS can offer its customers; partly because DFDS can now add a number of countries to its portfolio. DFDS Group has approximately 6,000 employees and had a turnover of approximately € 1.5 billion in 2017.
